Было бы любопытно разузнать. What are the important dates in your country ` s history ? Write five of them and say why.

I am from Russia and there are a lot of important dates in our history. The most important day is a Victory Day, which is on the 9th of May. This day is important to us because in 1945 the war between USSR and Germany was finished. On the 9th May 1945 our army came to the territory of Germany. The second important day is 22 June. The 22nd June 1941 it is a day when a war between USSR and Germany had started. On the 12th of April 1961 the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin had a journey to cosmos. The next important day in our history is 1980, XXII Summer Olympic Games Hold in Moscow. The last but not the least important day was in 1991 -  The Soviet Union collapsed, our country started to be called Russia.
